Trio
for 2 clarinets and viola
They are among the loveliest and indeed most rewarding pieces for this combination. Kreutzer's preference for the clarinet, which appears in almost all his chamber music, is here indulged to the full.
The Rondo in G major (sounding pitch F major) which concludes this Trio has been left in the original notation; this is amply justified by the beautifully sounding writing of the viola part, which in itself excluded a transcription.
